Elizabeth Crook (born 1959) is an American genre novelist specializing in the Western fiction. Crook's three novels have attracted favorable reviews, and her work has been published in anthologies and periodicals such as Texas Monthly and Southwestern Historical Quarterly.〔"Elizabeth Crook" in (Book Reporter )〕 ==Biography== Born in Houston, Crook lived in Nacogdoches and San Marcos, Texas, with her parents, brother and sister until 1966 when the family moved to Washington D.C., where her father, William H. Crook, was director of VISTA for Lyndon Johnson. Later, the family moved to Canberra, Australia, where her father was U.S. ambassador to Australia.〔Robert M. Thomas, ("William Crook, 72, Ambassador To Australia and Johnson Aide" ), The New York Times, October 31, 1997〕 Returning to Texas, Crook graduated from San Marcos High School in 1977. She attended Baylor University for two years and graduated from Rice University in 1982.
